A little about us...
Hello, I'm Holly!
Together with my husband, Daniel, we are the creators behind all of the cakes you see here at Holly Dolly Cakes.
My cake journey as a professional started in 2009 when I was already well into my twenties. I stopped pursuing a career in animation and threw myself headfirst into an apprenticeship in patisserie (where I met Daniel) and have never left the kitchen. I was extremely lucky to have trained under some world renowned pastry chefs since then and even somehow managed to land a job in one of London's top 5 star hotels. However, after a valuable but intense and fast paced few years, it became clear to me that I really wanted to follow a path that involved a lot more fondant!
Having to step back and retrain as a cake decorator, I took on an apprenticeship in a luxury wedding cake company which quickly led to a full time job managing the kitchen. During that time I had the opportunity to assist in the production of cake decorating books as well as work with a well known cake decorating magazine.
Fast forward to today and I can now say I have had the privilege of working for some of the UK's most distinguished cake brands.
Daniel, aka Danny, bakes all the delicious sponges for our cakes. He started his culinary journey back in his native Poland, baking artisan bread.
He then came to London in 2006, training and working in the pastry kitchen for over 10 years. With a background in French patisserie, he knows a thing or two about baking!
Holly Dolly Cakes has been a long time coming for us and we're super excited to be able to offer up all our experience and expertise to design and create cakes that will hopefully not last long on the plate, but a lifetime in your memories.

Here at Holly Dolly Cakes, we've used all our experience to curate the perfect cake menu. If it’s on our menu then you can trust that we love it and it’s a recipe that we use for our cakes at home.
We use free range eggs, real butter, real vanilla extract, good quality Belgian chocolate and our personal favourite jams and curds.
My formal training and experience in numerous professional environments, ensures a high standard of production throughout the process, from baking the perfect sponge right through to meticulous detailing and a flawless finish.
If you don't yet know what cake you'd like, I will be happy to talk through it with you and help you design the perfect cake for your event. I always like to give different ideas and options and am always truthful about what I think will be most suitable for your needs.
